In
1978 Andrea Moltoni , founder of the already successful Wagoona PTY LTD expanded
on his existing bakery and sheep, cattle and wheat farms. With his eldest
son, Ralph, he purchased a bakery and In-flight catering business in Port
Hedland and in the years to
follow
the catering business expanded to include Derby In-Flight catering which was
later closed and replaced by Broome In-Flight Catering. Port Hedland has also
since closed due to changes within the airline industry. Broome In-Flight
Catering was established in May 1990 and began servicing the large Australian
airlines - Qantas and Ansett, as well as other private, charter and government
aircraft utilising Broome International Airport.
Over the past 20 years, as Broome
International Airport traffic has grown, so to do the responsibilities and
capabilities of our qualified staff. Broome In-Flight Catering places great
emphasis on freshness of
product, immaculate presentation, punctuality and privacy. Our staff's professionalism and their delivery of the range of services provided is equalled only by our level of hygiene and industry standard excellence. The culture of Broome In-Flight Catering is friendly and confident. Our core group of employees provide quality, professional, on-time services not only because of the high standard expected by our clients but also due to the pride it instils in both them and their colleagues. This driving force was particularly instrumental in Broome In-Flight Catering's ability to
not only persevere but flourish during the uncertainties created by the collapse of Ansett, at the
time one of our largest clients. Since then, contracts have been negotiated with Qantas/Airlink partners and have resulted in even more satisfied clients. It is our aim for the future to increase the number of private and charter flights that we service. Along with this, extending the range of services available and to ensure the satisfaction of clients and their personal requirements.The growth potential presented by the re-injection of interest in the Kimberley region, both from within Australia and internationally, has opened the way for Broome In-Flight Catering to seek new opportunities and we intend to approach these with the same friendly, professional nature that you will discover in our current operations.
